He has practiced as a Locum Consultant at the Heart of England University Hospital NHS Trust Birmingham 2005-2009). He has done Over 200 Total Hip and Total Knee Arthroplasty a year with very satisfactory outcomes.

Mr Parwez has a number of publications and has accumulated vast experience practising within the independent sector at Emerson’s Green NHS Treatment Centre, Bristol 2011-2016. Under his Clinical Leadership (2013-2016), the centre was voted ‘Best in the west” for total hip replacement in the South West region in 2013 as determined by patient reported outcome measures (PROMS).

He Introduced Partial knee replacement in that unit. It was an elective high volume surgery centre with emphasis on providing a truly patient centred care.

Mr Parwez is an active listener and believes in true “shared decision” making with his patients. He explains and sets expectations at a realistic achievable level leading to a high percentage of his patients achieving a highly satisfying outcome.

He believe God’s gifted joint is a unique structure and should only be replaced when absolutely necessary . He Aims for joint preserving Surgery , replacing the minimal amount possible to achieve a satisfactory outcome. It’s all the more important with a sporty, active generation and for improving life expectancy.

Mr Parwez keeps his knowledge and skills updated by attending specialist society meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars and discussions with his peers.

He also teaches on registrars training workshop and GP training day’s.

Mr Parwez is an avid cricketer and cyclist and member of a Local Bike club and having experienced his fair share of sporting injuries, can empathise with the desire to ‘resume normal service’ without delay. He is married and has two children who help ‘keep him on his toes’.
